The Carrots that looked like a zalupa

It was Trend Labs BlogCon 09 and the talk was about blogging 101. The Speaker was Jayvee Fernandez of A bugged life. He gave a good talk and answered questions all about blogging. and after that, of course is a free lunch served by the host venue, Shanghai Bistro. Then the food was served, I don't know but we all laughed when we saw the carved carrots. Maybe because it looked like a zalupa when viewed from behind but looked like a masterpeice of carving infront. You don't know what a zalupa looked like? google it! and see the image result. They took pictures of the carrot and i grabbed a copy of it and here it is. Cheers!

Last Thursday (August 20, 2009) @ Empire Super Club , Julia Vargas Ortigas. The brewrats (Tado, Ramon Bautista, and DJ Angel's radio show @ 99.5RT) celebrated their 2nd year anniversary. We were there!! Me (ticz), Lemuel, Lord Alfred, and Julius (who was late). We Enjoyed the show of course because of some san mig lights and Lem won a sack of rice in a bingo game hosted by the brewrats!

Willie Revillame and Manny Villar

Presidential candidate Manny Villar is willing to take Willie Revillame as one of his senator line ups if Willie would decide to run. This is according to TV Patrol World August 14, 2009 episode. Even with the recent scandal of Willie against the traffic management of ABS-CBN showing clips of the late former president Corazon Aquino, Manny Villar is still willing to take him as a senatorial candidate. In my opinion, wouldn't that be a risk for Manny Villar losing thousands of voters just because he is on the side of Willie? Maybe it would be better if Manny will not take sides in this scandal, and just play for himself in the upcoming election? Willie on the other hand should take responsibility and admit defeat over thousands of people who are against him. Maybe if he admitted defeat, these people might feel a bit of mercy and never mind what Willie had done to the Late Corazon Aquino.

We managed to accept those unacceptable manners until that fateful day when all of us are still mourning with the passing away of our beloved Cory do we hear such offensive and distasteful remarks over the flashing on screen of what we were more interested to follow then, the news on Cory’s funeral cortege to Manila Cathedral.

Such display of ill manners do not deserve to be seen on screen worldwide. It is like tolerating your talent to whatever he wants to do or say without being reprimanded at all by the management.

There is now a worldwide clamor for the ouster of Willie Revillame from his TV show to make him understand the extent of his bad behavior. No amount of apologies can we restore what has been damaged. Willie does not and will never epitomize the kind of charities that he disguises in the form of his TV show…. a mockery of what a true public service that he is flaunting around here and there.

A mud even covered with the most precious stones can not be camouflaged with its shining shimmering splendor…..it will only show later on, its true color. Revillame has done enough scandalous damages several times before, over and over again, even caused the death of 71 people in the ULTRA stampede.

How much more the ABS-CBN can take? Will CEO, Gabby Lopez remain hostile to the many scandals and abuses of this man who flaunts his power, fame and fortune every now and then??? Will he remain silent to the disgraceful act that his ward committed against the very person who gave his family’s empire back to them?

For all we know, one day soon, he will wake up, with a reality that say, WILLIE REVILLAME, NEW ABS-CBN, CEO…… what a way of LIFE!

S2 Games have been developing a game based from the ever popular DOTA. The game is called "Heroes of Newerth". The Map is basically the same, the game play, the goal, the heroes are almost the same only that they have different names and a little tweak to their appearance and. The game also have better graphics than DOTA so for those gamers out there, better prepare your computer specs on this. As i write this review, there are still no official game release. All we have are beta staged games. There are other games also developed that are also based on the DOTA-Allstars, but this is what I think will dominate the gaming world and it will be the Game that will Change DoTA. According to PAGASA, we will be viewing the perseids meteor shower that will happen this August. IT will have its peak on the late night of August 12 until dawn on the following day. Best viewed with your wishes ready! In addition, the rate of meteor that will be seen is probably several every minute but best described as 50 meteors every hour. So better get those wishes ready!

My dearest Ballsy,

I write you this letter with tears in my eyes and as if steel fingers are crushing my heart because I wanted so much to be with you as you celebrate your legal emancipation. Now that you have come of age, my love, a voice tells me that I am no longer young and suddenly, I feel old.

An old poet gave this advice very long ago “when you are sad, remember the roses will bloom in December.” I want to send you bouquet of roses, big red roses from my dreamland garden. Unfortunately for the present, my roses are not in bloom, in fact they have dropped all their petals and only the thorns are left to keep me company. I do think it is fitting to send you a thicket of thorns on this memorable day!

I am very proud of you because you have inherited all the best traits of your mother. You are sensible, responsible, even-tempered and sincere with the least pretenses and affection which vehemently detest in a woman. I am sure like your mother, you will possess that rare brand of silent courage and that combination of fidelity and fortitude that will be the life vest of your man in the tragic moments of his life.

During my lonely hours of solitary confinement in Fort Magsaysay, Laur, Nueva Ecija last March and April with nothing else to do but pray and daydream, with only my fond memories to keep me company, I planned a weekend barrio fiesta for you in Tarlac for your 18th birthday. I fooled myself into believing that my ordeal would end with the fiscal year. I planned to invite all your classmates and friends and their families for the weekends.

The schedule called for an early departure by bus from Manila and the first stop will be Concepcion, where lunch will be served by the pool. And after lunch, you were to visit the Santa Rita Elementary School to distribute cookies and ice cream to the children of that public school where you were first enrolled.

I guess sheer nostalgia prompted me to include Santa Rita. We were only three then: Mommie, you and I. Those were the days of happy memories little responsibilities, tremendous freedom, a great future ahead and capped by a fulfillment of love. You are the first fruit of our union, the first proof of our love and the first seal of our affections.

From Concepcion we were to proceed to Luisita for the barrio fiesta. I intended to invite a friend who could roast an entire cow succulently. Swimming, pelota, dancing and eating would have been the order of the day.

Sunday morning was reserved for a trip around the Hacienda and the mill and maybe golf for some of the parents and later a picnic-lunch on Uncle Tony’s Island. Return to Manila after lunch. I am afraid this will have to remain as one of the many dreams I had in Laur.

Our future has suddenly become uncertain and our fate unknown. I am even now beginning to doubt whether I’ll ever be able to return to you and the family. Hence, I would like to ask you these special favors.

Love your mother, whose love for you, you will never be able to match. She is not the greatest mother in the world, she is your sincerest friend.

Take care of your younger sisters and brother and lavish them with the love and care I would like to continue giving them but am unable to do so.

Help Noy-noy along and pray hard that he will grow to be a real, responsible man who in later years will protect you all.

You are the model for your three younger sisters. Your responsibility is therefore great. Please endeavor to live up to our highest expectations. Be more tolerant to Pinky, more accessible to Viel, our little genius-princess, and more charitable to Krissy, our baby doll, and make up for my neglect.

Finally, forgive me, my love, for not having been an ideal, good and thoughtful father to you all as I pursued public office. I had hopes and high resolve of making up, but I am afraid my destiny will not oblige.

I seal this letter with a drop of tear and a prayer in my heart, that somehow, somewhere we shall meet again and I will finally be able to make up for all my lapses, in the kingdom where justice reigns supreme and love is eternal.

Country Songs for the musician

For the musician at heart, any type of song, as long as they can relate to it or dance to it, or feel the music in it, the song is good. For me, as a new generation youngster, I have opened my mind to different genres of music that adults or the old ones would like to call it noise. Rock, punk and rap are the kind of music of the new generation. However, as a music fanatic, I also learned to love country songs. These songs are sometimes stories of love, happiness, loneliness and many more. I've come to know these kinds of songs because I lived twenty-one years of my life in a city where everyone loves a country song. Music by Billy Dean(Honesty), Billy Ray Cyrus(Achy Breaky Heart), Alan jackson(Remember When) and of course the very popular couple, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill who sung the song It's Your Love. These songs never ceased to amaze my ears when i listen to them at the right moment. Of course there has to be a right moment for every kind of music. You won't play these kinds of music in a bar filled with hiphop and the like right? So there must be a proper place and time for it.

These kinds of music is best fit in a rainy day, while drinking coffee in front of the window and thinking about your love ones. Try some songs by Alan Jackson and I assure you, you won't even know you are stopping to listen to the meaning, not how it was played.

It is also best for the bored musician to try and practice some country strumming (and a little banjo plucking maybe?). Cheers!

There are many times where in you get to leave finger prints on the screen of an iPhone. This make it dirty-looking and sometimes oily looking. However, Apple has found away to reduce that. They morphed the glass screen with Oleophobic chemical. Oleophobic screens means an organic chemical is used to repel fat and body oil. that is why, you can hardly leave any finger print to the iPhone 3GS screens. JAPAN Earthquake

Japan is hit by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake early today @ 7:56 PM (1056 GMT). The said Earthquake halted railstations, and a professional baseball game. There were no news or threat of tsunami and still are there no reports of the total damage. The said earthquake rattled the country capital, Tokyo and a few other cities. It was said also that a certain bullet train was halted due to the quake but started running again after the shaking. Japan is situated in an area with most quakes and was forecasted that Japan will experience a major earthquake in the next 50 years. Tokyo residents are now calming over the said situation. How does it feel to be out of the country

I am really curious about how it feels to be out of the country. How does it feel to be away from your motherland, away from your family, friends, and the life you were used to. I have to compile all these feelings and experiences from people who are already out there. The purpose of this is to show other people who are not yet out of the country anad are still planning to go out. At the very least, they know what they are going to face emotionally.

The son of an OFW

Ex-OFW ang nanay ko. Pumunta siya sa Hongkong nung mga first year high school ako. Thirteen years old na ako noon so alam ko na ang masaktan pag iiwan ako ng magulang ko. But for the sake of surviving poverty, I could not do anything para pigilan siya. Yung dalawa kong kapatid ay mga bata pa kaya't hindi nila gaanong ramdam ang sakit na maiwan ng nanay. My brother was nine years old back then and my sister was 7 years old. Ganon pa sila kabata nung iniwan kami. Masakit para sakin 'yon. Kahit sabihin nilang lalaki ako, hindi ko napigilan na umiyak kasi nga nanay ko iyon. Ang tatay ko naman kahit alam niyang mahihirapan siya na palakihin kami ng walang nanay ay pumayag din para lang may ipambayad kami sa tuition fee at sa araw araw naming pangangailangan. Para maibsan ang sakit, laging sumusulat ang nanay ko noon, iba ibang sulat kada miyembro ng pamilya. Isa para sa tatay ko, isa para sa akin na panganay at tig-isa din para sa dalawang kong kapatid. Hindi pa gaanong uso ang cellphone noon kaya't nagtiyatiyaga kami sa sulat. Tatlong taon kaming nagtiis na hindi namin kasama iyong nanay namin. Out of three long years, minsan lang siya umuwi, pasko noon. Laking tuwa ko at umayos na ang buhay namin noon kahit paano. May bahay na kaming sarili, maayos naman ang pinagaaralan naming eskwelahan, tatlong beses naman kami kumakain sa isang araw, minsan nga ay sobra pa sa tatlo kaya hindi ko maikakaila na malaking tulong nga iyong pagpunta ni mama sa Hongkong.

Ngunit habang nandoon siya, ako naman dito, bilang panganay, bilang lalaki, at bilang isang high school student ay natutong magloko. Pinasok ang bisyo, pag aabsent sa eskwelahan, at pakikipagbarkada. Kadalasan pa'y hinahanap ako ng tatay ko sa kung saan-saan kasi naglayas ako. Hindi madali para kay papa iyon dahil dapat nanay ang gumagawa ng ganung klaseng trabaho sa pamilya. Ang suportahan ang emosyonal na pangangailangan ng isang miyembro ng pamilya ay trabaho niya. Pero wala siya dito sa pilipinas kaya walang magawa ang tatay ko kundi gampanan ang lahat ng iyon. Ngunit dahil ama siya at hindi ina, hindi niya akong nagawang patinuhin ng gaya ng dati. Tumino man ako ay hindi lubusan. Dalawang beses ako nag third year high school, adik na ako sa yosi, umiinom na rin ako ng wala pa sa hustong gulang, pero kahit paano ay hindi ko pinasok ang droga. Sa lahat ng kalokohan, doon lang ako tumanggi. Nasubukan ko, oo, pero hindi ko tinuloy-tuloy. Dahil yon sa tatay ko na laging bukang bibig ang pagiwas sa droga. Proud ako sa erpat ko dahil nakaya niyang magtiis na wala si mama bilang asawa niya, wala si mama bilang nanay ng anak niya, nakaya niyang maging nanay at tatay sa amin tatlong magkakapatid, habang nagtratrabaho sa puwestong naipundar, at kung walang customer sa tindahan namin tuwing tag-ulan ay karpintero siya sa mga construction.

After three years ni mama sa HK ay bumalik siya for good. Balak niya pang bumalik noon pero pinigilan ko na siya. Kaya ko pa naman magtiis na mawala siya ulit para sa ikauunlad ng pamilya namin, pero natakot ako sa nangyari sa akin. Ayaw ko na mangyari lahat 'yon sa dalawa kong kapatid. Ayaw ko na mapahirapan pa ulit si papa na walang katabi tuwing gabi, lalo na kung pagod siya. Ayaw ko nang maulit lahat iyon, tama na iyong isang anak ang napahirapan. Huwag na lahat. Ginusto naman ni mama yung suggestion ko na huwag na siyang bumalik. At mula noon pinangako ko na sa sarili ko na tutulong ako pag ako nakatapos ng college.

Pinagtiisan namin ang konting kinikita ng tindahan namin, at ang paraket raket ni papa sa mga construction. At, nakatapak nga ako sa college. Last year, nagbabalak si mama na bumalik ulit ng Hongkong, Mas humirap daw kasi ang buhay at humihina ang tinadahan namin. Lalo daw noong nagaaral na rin ang isa kong kapatid ng college. at graduating ako noon, dalawa kaming pinagaaral nila sa kolehiyo kaya't gusto niyang bumalik. Hindi parin ako pumayag, bakit? Dahil ngayong high school iyong bunso naming kapatid na babae, at nasa kalagitnaan siya ng kapusukan ng isang tao, ay lalo niyang kailangan ng nanay. Ganon din sa kapatid ko na lalaki, kelangan niya ng nanay, para di siya mapasok sa mga bisyong piansukan ko. Ayaw ko na dumating ang araw na umuwi yung bunso naming kapatid na buntis nang hindi pa kasal o kaya naman iyong kapatid ko na lalaki umuwi ng bangag sa drugs. Ayoko nun.

Hanggang ngayon ay pinipilit ng nanay namin na bumalik siya sa HK, ayaw ko parin. Pero ngayon ay may mas matibay na akong rason kung bakit ayaw kong pumayag sa gusto niya. Sabi ko sa nanay ko, kukuha lang ako ng experience dito sa pilipinas at magaabroad na ako para tumulong sa pagpapaaral ng kapatid ko. Buti na iyong ganun kasi walang mahihirapan. Di tulad na kung siya ang aalis ay marami maapektuhan.

Sa mga kaibigan nating OFW jan, sana po ay huwag sumobra sa pagkagarapal sa pera ng ibang bansa. Kung sapat na po ang kinita ninyo jan ay balikan ang mga naiwang kapamilya, dahil masmahalaga iyong oras na magkasama kayo kahit asin lamang ang ulam, kesa iyong masarap nga pagkain ninyo sa araw araw ay hindi naman kayo magkasama. Hindi sapat ang internet, webcam, cellphone, sulat at kung anuano pang mga paraan ng communication para masabing nagsama na kayo. Iba parin iyong nasa tabi mo siya, hawak mo iyong kamay, nagtatawanan kayo, sabay kayong sumusugod sa mga problema at sa mga saya.

G.I. Joe Review

G.I. Joe, the movie I have been waiting for since Transformers 2, have been very disappointing for me. I thought the movie is good because it is also from HASBRO toys, the creators of Transformers 1 & 2. But sadly, it was not that good. Here is a list of reasons why it is not above my "Awesome" threshold.

1. Some parts are cut short and left the viewers discontented on the scene.
2. The accelerator suits, was just worn about twice and just showcased a faster running and jumping Joes and some fancy machine gun. It did not even show where the joes can use the front panel screen that can show whatever the joe is thinking.
3. The Eiffel tower was destroyed. and the movie did not show how it impacted the world through the media. Why do i need this? Come on! It's the Eiffel tower we are talking about not some fancy building around France. It needs to be realistic!
4. Last but ofcourse not the least, as an Anti Malware Engineer, I don't see a good reason why a geek's military-type USB device will be scanned by Norton while the geek is running out of time!

Over all, the movie for me is labeled: Good for a boring Sunday.

How to paint with Light

Painting with light before seems to be impossible, but with today's technology, it is just within the tips of our fingers. Using a camera that have the capability of exposing in long periods of time, then anyone can paint with light. When exposing the film of a camera, whatever light it receives is permanently marked in it. So it is really possible to paint the film with light. Just get your digital cameras that have long exposure modes and let's get started.

First, we need a dark area where we can perform the trick, a dark room will do just fine or during night time will also be cool. We need a flashlight or any hand-held light producing thing. We need a camera tripod for a much crisper and clearer pictures, and we need a person to move the light source. Set the exposure time to about 30 seconds,and mount it on the tripod. After which, switch the flash light on and bring it in front of the camera. when the camera's shutter is open paint any thing you like (your name for instance) using the flash light. The shutter will be open for just 30 seconds (as we mentioned a while back) so do your painting within just that time. After that, look at the photo, and there you have it, a nice Light Painting.

If there is a song that you want to download and installing applications is not for you, then maybe a browser-based song-download is the answer. How? You can't just google any song you like and directly download it. There are some secrets and some websites and other techniques you want to know. Just follow the methods below and in no time you will have the mp3 file in your computer safe and adware free.

METHOD ONE:

Try to google if the song is in http://www.megaupload.com or http://www.mediafire.com .
How? Just click me and watch how. The second or third result is sometimes the more reliable one. If you want to look for another song, just change the last words into the keyword you want. This is also true for videos that you want to search in megaupload. Just change the "mp3" keyword to the extension name you want (avi, mpeg, mp4, wmv, etc...) If the song you are looking for is not in megaupload, try mediafire, just change the keyword "site:megaupload.com" into "site:mediafire.com". Remember not to put spaces between the words and the colon (:). If the song is neither present in the two websites I gave, then read on.

METHOD TWO:

Sometimes www.esnips.com have what you need. Almost every mp3 is saved in esnips. However, Esnips does not let you directly download their music content due to some crappy IP Rights. They just let you listen to the music file and not let you download it andn that's it. But wait!! Someone tried to crack this open and gave you the freedom to download music from esnips. Just copy the URL ( the one at the address bar where you type "www.blahblahblah...") and paste it at the designated textbox here ESNIPS LINK GENERATOR. After which, just click download, and that's it! You are done. For faster esnips searching, try this kind of google search and then right click on the first result and click "copy shortcut" for Internet Explorer users or "copy link location" for Firefox users. and paste it over at the link generator website. However, if the song you are trying to look for is still not found, try method three.

METHOD THREE:

Try to look for your song in http://www.beemp3.com and download it from there. If the song is still not found, try method four.

METHOD FOUR:

Try to look for a video in youtube that contains the song you are looking for. Copy the URL of the video and paste it over at the designated textbox inside this website. The website then ask you if you want to download the video as a video or if you want to let them convert your video into an mp3 file getting just the background music you wanted.

If you still can not find your song using all the four methods, then maybe Limewire is the answer.

Maybe some of you out there tried to play drums on their desks while listening to music from their computer. But how many sounds can you get just by using your hands smashing that damn desk? Three?? Four?? And the looks from your disturbed officemates? Well here is the solution for you. The Keyboard drums! This mini application turns your QWERTY keyboard into a full blown drum set just by pressing the right keys. Put your headset on, open your favorite music player, turn the keyboard drums on and drum your way away from boredom. Now that, my friend, is real fun!

Indie Rap Love Songs

Songs from local indie artists and groups have popped over the internet like mushrooms this past years. They are, if not always, seen in youtube with a slide show of someone. But these songs if listened to carefully are also good in some sense. They portray Love, Happiness, Togetherness and more. Sometimes, some of the songs make it to the music main stream and make their own mark to the listeners minds. Songs which are really common to some avid youtube diggers include artists like X-CREW, REPABLIKAN, DAGTANG LASON, GAGONG RAPPER and many more. Some of them are already main stream artists as I write this. They are for instance Dagtang Lason who made the song UMIBIG AKO NG BAKLA, Gagong Rapper who made the ever popular song KABET and many more. But there are also some artist who did not make it to the mainstream but they have some local followers and fans because their music is also good. X-crew for instance have this song called "KAHIT NA" which features a rap verse, a nice chorus and the intro of Everything I do I do It For You originally by Bryan Adams. Repablikan also has their own remake of "Kulang na Kulang Ba" which features a touching lyrics.

The only downside to these groups is that they have songs which destroys other artist's reputation thru their lyrics. Lyrics of these kinds of songs most of the time portray hatred, swear words and cruelty.This is due to some gangs that these group belongs to. But even with this kind of mentality hopefully they can still see that they are only on the same track and having the same goal. The Mainstream.

Harry Potter 6

I just watched the movie last night and my money was not worth it. At first I thought the trailer is just a trailer of the movie, but sadly did i realized that it is the movie itself, they have shown every good part of the movie in the trailer. It was not worth the delay of the movie for how many months.

However, the ending was not too bad, others said it was not a good ending, but all i can say is it was just how it happened in the book and the director can not change how it happened. So maybe we should just be contented with the ending.

But still the movie as a whole was not good. The movie became a very big trailer for the upcoming two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Hopefully they would put more magical scenes in there. Put more animation, CGI, and better effects.

The only thing that is really cool in the movie is that Ginny and Hermione are now really sexy and beautiful. Hopefully in the next part, I can see them again. Taha!

Third album of the rock band kamikazee is now out. Titled, Long time Noisy this album will rock our world. The band originally planned to jam with the late master rapper, Francis Magalona, but during the time that they should be jamming, Francis was already in the hospital. As a tribute though, they revived one of the songs of the late master rapper, Meron Akong Ano that featured Chito Miranda from PnE (Parokya ni Edgar).

The new album contains twenty tracks and is released under Universal Records.

Learning how to speak MADA Language

Have you ever heard of MADA Language?
The MADA Language is a new generation style of talking to your friend and no one else around you can understand what you are saying. A new way tell someone a secret. And a good way to trash talk to people when there are kids nearby who are not allowed to learn trash talking. And I will teach you the art of MADA! At first you will be a little slow, but from time to time, you will be talking MADA like its your main language.

Note: You can apply this MADA Language to any language you already know how to speak.

This instructions are applied in FILIPINO but are written in English.

The basics of mada is putting a "MA" at the very beginning of every word(Prefix) you are saying. And a "DA", "DE", "DI", "DO" or "DU" at the end of words that originally end in a vowel (Suffix).

Examples:
takbo = matakbodo (Ma - original word - D -The last letter of the original word)
sabutahe = masabutahede
halika = mahalikada
lumaki = malumakidi
mga = mamangada (Note: MADA is not about spelling, It's how you pronounce it.)
baku-bako = mabakubakodo

However, there are a lot of words that doesn't end in a vowel. MADA has another rule for these kinds of words. "MA" is still provided as a PREFIX and the DA,DE,DI,DO or DU is located after the LAST VOWEL followed by the remaining letters(which should be a consonant and usually is just one letter). To learn more, See the samples.

Examples:

tanod = matanodod (MA - original word minus the last letter - D -last VOWEL of the original word -Remaining letters) = MA -TANO - DO -D

balikat = mabalikadat
ng = manadang (Note again: MADA is not about spelling, It's how you pronounce it.)
bilis = mabilidis
Sumbong = masumbodong (Note: This word has two letters following the last vowel)
lambing = malambiding

Other Examples: (This are words that contain complex tagalog/Filipino rules.)

mamamatay = mamamamataday
mayaman = mayamadan madaldal = madaldadal

as you learn more, talk faster, and understand faster, you can also add some techniques which will make talking MADA a little bit easier. For example, you can combine two words inside a single MADA-rule.

Examples:
tara na = mataranada sa inyo = masainyodo bukas pa = mabukaspada

For you to learn faster and talk faster. teach MADA to your friends and talk to them in MADA.
and I am sure, your parents will never know that you are talking about something nasty. Unless you teach them MADA too.

Optimus Prime, Guardian of Ticz

It feels good to be side by side with Optimus Prime! The leader of the Autobots group From Transformers. We smoked together, we drink together, we stick together finding and killing the remaining members of Decepticons (Now that's adventure!), and we hook up ladies together (Whew!). He also gives me one hell of a ride inside him or even on his palm when he is in his robot form. We are like Bumblebee and Sam. Bumblebee is the guardian of Sam Witwicky, and Optimus Prime is my Guardian. He is just there, parked in my garage waiting for me to call him.

Here are some pictures of me with him. Although you can't see him in his robot form because the government would like to protect the secrecy of having alien life here on earth (Yeah right.).

My buddy, Sam Witwicky, doesn't like to post his pictures here or even Bumblebee's pictures, for some reasons I don't know. Maybe he's afraid of the government ruining his life when he uncovers the facts about alien life to the whole world. Me? I don't care, They can't get through my Optimus Prime! He will just cut through their tanks with his sword, or blow up their jets and boats with his mighty blaster! Or kick some freakin' marine's a*s. Haha

The life of someone becoming a dad.

I am going to be a dad, sad part is...read on!

At first I was shocked at the news that i am to be a dad. I did not even have the chance to plan it. It was an accident. I just got my first job, I am not even a regular employee, I am away from home renting my own little space inside the suburbs of Manila, I just graduated from college, don't even have my own house, own car or even my own bike for goodness sake! And then from nowhere, while i was having my biggest problem at the office, she called and told me the news.

"I'm pregnant!"

The two (actually, three) most shocking words i received this year.

"Whaaat? Are you kidding me?"
"Nope, and I am sure you are the dad."

Oh my goodness, I didn't even ask the question and yet she gave me that line.
Where else would I go for help, who can I call on to. I guess... No one.
Then from there, problems, related to those two words, popped inside my head like mushrooms at the bottom of a rotten tree trunk. But what else can I do? Nothing. I should just accept the fact that I'm going to be a dad no matter what.

Soooooooooooooooo, where to begin to make my soon-to-be-kid's life happier?
Of course! Ask her to marry me! but it would take a hell lot of courage for me to say that. With some energy drink and a stick of marlboro, i did ask her to marry me. But to my dismay, she didn't want to. I even asked her if she wanted to live with me, no luck. Run away with me? Nope.

Oooookaaaaaay... So that's not what I expected to happen. What's next? Oh! Of course! Financially support her pregnancy. (How lucky am i to have a high paying job??? I don't know.) So from there on, every time i receive my salary, a portion of it goes to her, for her vitamins, for her check-up fees and for bigger dresses because her old ones don't fit her anymore.

Then there it was, from a happy go luck guy wanting to get laid every night, I became someone who can't spend his own salary for his own happiness but for the sake of an unborn baby.

Hopefully, I can be happy enough to enjoy again my life even when my kid is born.

How to host your own website at home.

On my way home a while back, i was thinking on what to post on this blog and after a few thoughts, i chose these topic from a lot of topic in my mind. Hmmm looks like I am going to tutor people to host their own website at home. These website that you would host could be very useful when you need to download files from your computer to another computer of another geographic location. Note that the website that will be hosted is only available when your computer is switched on, and you are connected to the internet (Of course!). Now here we go...

Warning: THIS STEPS OPENS YOUR COMPUTER TO THREATS AND ATTACKS FROM OUTSIDE. TAKE THIS CONSIDERATION BEFORE CONTINUING

Steps:

1. Download and Install WAMP (Windows Apache MySQL PHP) for Windows. Download here:
2. Configure your Private IP Address.
3. Configure your Modem.
4. Secure a DNS name (optional)
5. You are done!

STEP 1:
First and foremost you have to download WAMP of you are running Windows (which i expect). This Wamp that i am talking about would be the very heart of your server. Responsible for rendering the proper page when you put in an html extension file.

After downloading, install the sowftware to its default settings (just click on "next" all the time )
After installing WAMP, Which is assumed that is installed on "C:", Run the server by clicking the "start wampserver" icon found on the wamp folder. After running the server you can already find a small icon on your taskbar (lower right) opposite the start button.

clicking this icon would give you a lot of options of the server.

Click on 'Localhost' to open your browser and show the default page.

This is default page that other people may see when we are already done with the steps. You can change this default page by going to 'C:wampwww' you can find a file ther named index which is the one that you should change.

Now we are done with WAMP.

Step 2:

Configuring your Private IP address.

Note: To configure your private IP address, Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Network Connections and Right click on the connection of your Internet. These would show

Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties
and it will show up a pop-up like this:

Click on "Use the following IP Address" to enable the textboxes.

Key in on the first textbox 192.168.1.XX where XX is a number of your choice from 2~254 (ex: 192.168.1.66).
On the second textbox, once you click on it gives an automatic number (255.255.255.0)
On the third text box key in the IP Address of your Modem (Normally the IP Address of a modem is 192.168.1.1) But check out the internet and key in your Modem's brand name and look for its default IP Address.

On the "Preferred DNS Server" Key in again the default IP Address of Your Modem

click on OK and then OK again on the previous window.

To Check if you were succesful configuring your private IP Address, click Start >> Run type in "cmd" without the quotes which will pop out a DOS window. key in "ipconfig" again without the quotes and hit ENTER. See if the IP addresses you type a while back matches to what the DOS window is showing right now. If it matches, then lets proceed. If not, then you might like to repeat the process.

Step 3:

Depending on your Modem/Router, the steps of configuring port forwarding differ from each other.

Remember to forward your Traffic to the IP Address of you Computer (which you typed a while ago on the first text box of the TCP/IP Properties) Step 2.

Step 4:

You may view your home page from another computer of connected to another modem (I mean not to your on modem) by typing in your PUBLIC IP Address (you can know your public IP by clicking this link..

Step 5:
You are Done!! Congratulations!!
